Even better view from Zurichberg

At Rigistrasse 24 in Zurich, Häring, as a total contractor, extended an apartment building and at the same time carried out a conversion on the floor below. The building owner is pleased about better rentable flats and a higher return on the property.

Rigistrasse winds its way up the south-western slope of the Zürichberg like a mountain pass. On the second bend stands a well-kept apartment building. The fact that it now has five instead of four storeys with good rentable living space is due to ATTICO, Häring's value-enhancing extension system.

Existing foundation is sufficient
Two spacious attic flats were created on the top floor: one with 2 1/2 rooms and 60 square metres of living space, the other with 3 1/2 rooms and 85 square metres of living space.

In the course of the extension, Häring also converted the floor below. Instead of a single large flat with 150 square metres of living space, there are now two flats with the same dimensions as on the storey above.

Thanks to the lightweight construction, no retrofitting measures were necessary: the existing structure can easily bear the small additional load.

Everything from a single source
Häring carried out both the addition and the conversion as a total contractor. The client benefited from a guaranteed fixed price and simple communication with only one contact person. All the flats were rented out within a short time. No wonder, because the new flat sizes are in demand, and the view from the top floors is magnificent: it stretches from the city over Lake Zurich to the foothills of the Alps.
