Häring adds structure to Longines CSI Basel

From 10 to 13 January 19, the 10th edition of the Longines CSI Basel took place in the St. Jakobshalle. Every year, the world's best show jumpers compete at this top event. The budget for this year's edition was CHF 3.5 million and there were 280 top horses competing. A total of 1000 tonnes of sand were used for the event. For comparison: an elephant weighs "only" 5 to 6 tons!

We are happy to have been part of this great event and to have been able to realise the production and construction of the entire platform. Here are some figures about the construction:

• The total platform area created by Häring is 1,130 m2.
• The platform was erected from a height of +/- 0.00 to 4.00 metres from the ground.
• All materials used together have a total weight of 80 tons.
• We used a total of 109 m3 of glulam. 
• All frontal surfaces were clad with black MDF. Total 1'166 m2
• All in all, the construction consists of more than 2,000 individual parts.
