New construction of the Kaiseraugst boathouse

In Kaiseraugst, we did the comprehensive renovation of the boathouse of the Basel Rowing Club as general contractor. The building, designed by the Basel architect Caesar Zumthor, now has spacious men's and women's changing rooms, a workshop and a modern storage infrastructure for the rowing boats and all the rowing equipment.

The entire building was made with the regrowing local raw material wood and with its red glazed facades and the elegant, almost floating roof, it blends in perfectly with the park-like landscape along the Rhein.

The realisation of the boathouse shows: the renewable and local raw material wood is convincing for sports buildings.
