Review Technology meets tradition
The "Technology Meets Tradition" forum for high-tech construction solutions took place on 30 June 2022. The Eventdome, which is the temple of gifts for the Eidgenössische Schwing- und Älplerfest in Pratteln in August, served as an extraordinary event location.
After the initial marvelling at the impressively light-looking dome, the programme included exciting lectures on various topics related to technology and architecture. First, Christoph Häring gave a great insight into the history of the dome. Afterwards, Mario Thürig, a former wrestler, spoke about the fascinating sport of wrestling. Klaus Kirchmayer presented the innovative bicycle highway project URB-X and Dr. PhD. Christophe Sigrist inspired with his lecture on experimental and temporary wooden buildings. Finally, Sebastian Bosson rounded off the series of lectures with the Waveup initiative.
The subsequent aperitif provided an opportunity for an exchange of ideas in a cosy setting.
Many thanks to the participants for their great interest, to the speakers for their excellent presentations and to those involved in the organisation for the successful event.
