Careum temporary facility in Zurich

Due to the growing number of students, the Careum Foundation in Zurich needs more space for its operations as a training institution for healthcare staff. With the construction of a four-storey temporary facility, the available space has now been expanded to include three training rooms on the ground floor and office spaces on the upper floors. In mid-October, we were able to hand over the building, which was constructed using our modular timber system, to the client. The elements were prefabricated in our factory in Eiken and set up very quickly. It took one day to install the 31 wall elements and another day to install the 19 floor elements. All in all, only eight working days were required for all three floors, including the roof. This was followed by work on the interior fittings. A stand-out feature of the building is its façade, which is divided vertically by 36 wooden pilaster strips, each 13 metres long.
