In the heart of Hofstetten, at the foot of the Blauen mountains, three separate buildings are being constructed in two phases to house 18 apartments, ranging from one to three bedrooms with a balcony. The architecture is achieved using sustainable modular timber construction methods with minimal energy requirements (Swiss Minergie standard). The use of environmentally friendly, non-toxic construction materials is a particularly high priority.
These innovative, barrier-free apartments are specially designed to support independent living for the elderly, including easy-to-furnish layouts. Their generous balconies facing to the south-east or south-west provide valuable extra space. All ground-floor flats also benefit from a private garden. The landscaping incorporates various leisure facilities, and the covered parking bays blend in well with the surroundings.
